Open MRI is available at both the Medical Imaging Center and at TimberRidge Imaging Center of Radiology Associates of Ocala. This technology was specially designed for claustrophobic or larger patients with its wide patient opening and open sides. Following are some additional features of open MRI which may make it the more appealing MRI option for you.
 
Low, extra-wide, padded patient table offers added comfort
Ample air flow and lighting keep patients at ease, reducing anxiety
Compact size and design of its magnet not intimidating
Intercom and patient call button allows for communication between patient and technologist
Sitting area next to machine for family member or friend to offer comfort during the exam
Stereo system that allows enhanced relaxation; patients are encouraged to bring their music selection of choice
